Privacy Policy

DigiForge (“we”, “us”) is a voice-first reminder app. This policy explains what the app accesses, how your information is used, and the choices you have. We designed DigiForge to keep your data on your device wherever possible.
The short version
- No account and no sign-up. We don’t ask for your name, email, or contacts.
- Your reminders are stored on your device — not on our servers.
- To understand what you say, the text of your request is sent to our service and an AI provider, used only to create your reminder.
- We don’t sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising.
What the app accesses
- Microphone & speech recognition. When you tap the mic and speak, the app records audio and converts it to text. Speech-to-text runs on your device using your operating system’s speech recognition.
- The text of your reminder. The recognized text (for example, “remind me to call the dentist tomorrow at 3pm”) is sent over an encrypted connection to our service to work out the task, date, and time.
- Notifications. The app schedules local notifications and alarms on your device to remind you.
How your voice and text are processed
- Your audio is not uploaded. Only the recognized text is sent for interpretation.
- To interpret your request, that text is sent to our conversation service, which uses a third-party AI provider (Groq) to extract the task and time. This is used solely to fulfill your request.
- Our conversation service is stateless — it does not build a profile of you and does not retain your reminders.
What we store
- On your device: your reminders (task text, times, recurrence) and the short spoken-reminder clip used for alarms. Deleting a reminder — or deleting the app — removes this data.
- On our servers: we do not store your reminders or any account data (there are no accounts). Standard, transient server logs may be generated to operate and secure the service.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share the transcript text only with the service providers needed to run the app — our hosting provider and the AI provider — strictly to process your request.
Children
DigiForge is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) for data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Your choices
- You can deny or revoke microphone, speech recognition, and notification permissions in your device settings (some features won’t work without them).
- You can delete individual reminders in the app, or delete the app to remove all local data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here with a revised effective date.
